The Mombasa Plastics Prize is one of the ways that USAID Kenya & East Africa is advancing the Agency’s efforts to address ocean plastic pollution.

In the area of research, Proportion Global is providing research capabilities and capacity in Mombasa County, Kenya. Proportion specialises in human-centred design research within low-income communities. The team, based in Mombasa and Nairobi, is supporting as training and coordination lead.

In the area of public relations, marketing and events Brand Spark PR is providing public relations, media, and event coordination capabilities in Mombasa County and across Kenya.  Brandspark PR led the communication portfolio  for the initial phase of the Mombasa Plastics Prize and will continue to elevate the MPP brand and achievements for the MPP Incubator.
